a disgusting display of power.
There are things in this world that just don’t make sense sometimes. You know, in actuality, there are A LOT of things that just don’t make sense in this world. I could go on and on about these various things but right now I’m just going to focus on one. I’ll probably delve into the others later.
All cognitive beings on Earth are completely different than one another. Each has an individual essence that is distinguishable from others. For example, it is obvious that a cat is totally different from a dog, a Bull Terrier totally different than a Border Collie, and a human totally different from animal. Some beings are just a little different than others, and some are completely dissimilar. One of the major characteristics of beings that is completely different among species is intelligence.
One thing I have been going over and over in my head lately is the thought that humans are so much more intelligent and cognitive than any other species on the planet. No other species except maybe the ape family and dolphins are anywhere near our intelligence level.
Knowing this, the most prevalent thought concerning our association between animals is that we are more powerful than they are. This view may be a fact, yes, but how are we to handle our power and intelligence? Most people say that since we are capable of so much power that we should enforce it. Now, there are various ways that we could enforce our power, both negative and positive. The way that we enforce it at the present is by using animals for our benefit and sustenance.
The fact that we have more intelligence and power than animals should give us more reason to create a POSITIVE atmosphere for all beings. Since we are ethical creatures, we should be enacting the most HUMANE deeds.
Is there anything humane about locking cognitive beings in cages for years and then killing them for our benefit?
We have the intelligence to do something positive, yet we are too engulfed in our own “system” of doing things. We have always eaten meat, and we have always killed for it.
The one big thing I am trying to say is that all of us are here for the same thing. All cognitive beings on Earth are here to live the longest they can and experience as much in their lifetimes as they possibly can. The one thing we can do is try and create the best quality of life in any creature, solely for the reason that we have more power and intelligence.
I’m not saying I want EVERYONE to become vegan, I’m just saying that it’s disgraceful to use our ethical nature in a negative way.

Current Goals.
I honestly feel pretty OK about my life right now.
I feel like I need to set some goals for my life right now though.
Here's my list:
1. Write the first full length Mainland Divide album in the next year. (www.myspace.com/mainlanddivide)
2. Move into an apartment with Julia by the time summer is over.
3. Graduate from UCA with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy.
4. Get a nice job (over 10.00/hr) within the next two years, preferably in a hospital or health care setting.
5. Travel to New York and Toronto again.

first post.
this is my first post, and i'm not really sure what to write.
i haven't had a blog in quite a while, so i might not be very awesome at first.
----------------------------------------
i went to see drag me to hell tonight with micah and jesse.
as we got to the rave, i ran into shelbi. it was such a surprise and it really made me feel comfortable for some reason. i guess i just really missed seeing her.
drag me to hell was not really as good as i expected it to be. it was still pretty sweet, you can't really expect much less from sam raimi, but it wasn't up to par with the evil dead.
-------------------------------------
on a side note.
i am beyond excited to move out with julia. i love her more than anything, and feel more attached with her than anything else.
we'll probably be moving out in a couple of weeks into the links apartments in maumelle.
